Volan Type One Pepita | Rétromobile New York
Pepita is more than a pattern. With its distinctive black-and-white checks, it became a symbol of understated elegance in the 1950s and later earned an iconic place in Porsche design history. Decades later, it remains a recognisable detail of classic automotive culture.
Inspired by this heritage, Dutch independent brand Volan Watches introduces the Type One Pepita, a special edition limited to just 10 pieces, in collaboration with Analog:Shift at Rétromobile New York.
Volan revisits the classic tyre watch, a mechanical timepiece designed to accompany car keys rather than be worn on the wrist. Combining a Swiss automatic movement with carefully considered materials, the Type One celebrates the connection between mechanical timekeeping, classic motoring and the objects that accompany us on the journey.
Bringing together Analog's deep connection to vintage watch collecting and Volan's passion for automotive and maritime culture, the Type One Pepita will be presented at the Analog:Shift stand at Rétromobile New York, November 19–22, 2026.
