General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for Volan Watches

§ 1 GENERAL INFORMATION, SCOPE OF THE GTC

Hereinafter referred to as “Volan”.

1.2 All deliveries and services are provided exclusively under these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) in the version applicable at the time of order. Any deviating conditions from the customer will not apply unless explicitly accepted by Volan in writing.

1.3 These terms apply to both consumers and businesses. A consumer is any natural person acting outside the scope of a trade, business, or profession. A business customer is any natural or legal person, or legally capable partnership, acting within the scope of their commercial or independent professional activity.

§ 2 CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT

2.1 Orders can be placed via our website (https://www.volan-watches.com). All product listings constitute a non-binding invitation to place an order. The contract becomes binding once we confirm the order by email or upon dispatch of the goods.

2.2 Order process on our website:

  • Select a product and click [Add to Cart].

  • Access your cart at any time by clicking the cart icon. Products can be removed or quantities adjusted.

  • Click [Proceed to Checkout] to continue the purchase.

  • You may check out as a guest or create a Volan customer account.

  • Choose your preferred shipping and payment method.

  • Review your order on the confirmation screen. You may correct any input errors before finalizing the purchase.

  • By clicking [Place Order], you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and a binding order is placed.

§ 3 STORAGE OF CONTRACT INFORMATION

A summary of your order will be sent to your provided email address. This confirmation contains the full contract text. If you created a customer account, you can also access your order details at any time within your account.

§ 4 CONSUMER RIGHT OF CANCELLATION

Applicable only to consumers:

You have the right to cancel your order without providing any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.

To exercise your right, please contact us via email at info@volan-watches.com with a clear statement of your decision to cancel. You may use the template form below, but this is not required.

Consequences of cancellation:

  • Upon cancellation, all payments received will be refunded, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days from the day we receive your cancellation notice.

  • We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you provide proof of return.

  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of notifying us. You are responsible for safe return shipment and its cost.

  • Any loss in value due to unnecessary handling may be charged.

  • The right of withdrawal does not apply to customized or engraved products.

§ 6 PRICES

All prices on our website include VAT (where applicable). Shipping is free within the EU and selected international destinations. Customs duties, where applicable, are the responsibility of the buyer.

Note for U.S. customers: Local use tax may apply. Please consult your local tax authority.

§ 7 PAYMENT

7.1 Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

7.2 Payments are accepted via credit card, PayPal, iDEAL, Apple Pay, and other local options. For bank transfers (prepayment), instructions will be sent via email. Orders must be paid in full before shipment.

§ 8 DELIVERY

8.1 We ship worldwide, including to: the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the UK, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, and other select countries. Full list available at checkout.

8.2 Delivery typically occurs within 2–5 working days within the EU. For international shipments, please allow 5–10 working days depending on customs procedures. Exception are for pre-orders.

8.3 Tracking information will be sent once the watch has been dispatched.

§ 9 WARRANTY

All Volan timepieces are covered under a 2-year international warranty from the date of delivery. This covers manufacturing defects and does not apply to damage caused by accidents, improper use, or unauthorised repairs.

You can reach our team by email at info@volan-watches.com or by phone at +31 (0) 10 236 76 09. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours during business days (Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00 CET).

§ 11 LEGAL INFORMATION & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

11.1 These terms are governed by Dutch law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

11.2 If you are a consumer and reside outside the Netherlands, mandatory legal provisions of your home country remain unaffected.

11.3 For business customers and legal entities, the place of jurisdiction is Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

11.4 We are not obliged or willing to participate in alternative dispute resolution procedures.

§ 12 MISCELLANEOUS

12.1 Contract languages: English and Dutch.

12.2 If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
